An introduction to an inspirational coach
Coaching and Management Solutions was founded by Garry Shayes in 2006. Garry joined the NHS over 30 years before then as a trainee Medical Laboratory Scientist before moving in to Operational Management during the mid 1990’s. A few years later he moved into the Service Management and then later strategically managed cancer services across a network of two acute hospitals and six Primary Care Trusts. In 2001 he took on the Programme Director role for a very ambitious international modernisation initiative co-ordinated from Boston, USA, seeking to radically improve patient care in central Norfolk and across a number of major health care processes.
Since 2002/3 he has continued to apply his extensive facilitation experience and coaching skills to promote and support improvements across a broad range of health and social care settings, as well as providing personal coaching within both organisational and independent settings.
Garry’s management style clearly draws on his considerable experience as an improvement consultant, facilitator and personal coach and his skills are readily transferable to services outside the NHS and Social Care environments. He is passionate about helping others to visualise and achieve their individual or corporate goals.
